# Callout Timeouts

#### **LFS version:** requires Limio for Salesforce v14.10 or later

Two fields on the **icConfig** custom setting control how long the package waits for a response from Limio. Leave them empty to use the defaults.

## The two fields

| Field label                  | Default | Applies to                                                                                   |
| ---------------------------- | ------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| General Callout Timeout (ms) | 10000 | The offer catalog, the subscriptions list, the payment method column, and all other requests |
| Order Callout Timeout (ms) | 30000 | Orders and order previews that agents submit from the packaged flows |

Raise **Order Callout Timeout (ms)** when order submissions time out.

## Choosing a value

Enter a value between 1 and 120000 milliseconds. An empty field, or a value outside that range, uses the default.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Keep the general timeout longer than the slowest response you see in normal use. A very low value makes requests time out. A very high order timeout makes agents wait longer when a response is slow. Test a new value on a sandbox first.
{% endhint %}

## Set a timeout

1. Click the gear icon → **Setup**.
2. In the **Quick Find** box, type `Custom Settings` → click it.
3. Find **icConfig** in the list → click **Manage** (left of the name).
4. Click **New** if nothing exists yet, or **Edit** on the **Default Organization Level Value**.
5. Enter a value in milliseconds in **General Callout Timeout (ms)**, in **Order Callout Timeout (ms)**, or in both.
6. Click **Save**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.limio.com/salesforce/setting-up/detailed-salesforce-setup/callout-timeouts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
